Welcome to Putting Prayers To Action!

Our Spring deadline for donations is March 15th. Our Spring needs are always: Blue jeans and shorts for our boys, dresses and leggings for our girls, baby items (diapers all sizes, wipes, baby care items) plus, each child receives new shoes and a new toy.  Can we count on you to make a difference in an Appalachia life of a child in need?

Our Back to School deadline for donations is July 15th. In our Back to School distribution we also include back to school packs which include school supplies.  Our clothing needs for Summer is the same, each child we service receives a new pack of clothes including underwear and socks.  They also start the new school year with new shoes.

Our winter deadline for donations is November 15th. For our winter distribution we include warm new clothing, new coats, new shoes and toys.  Plus, each child will receive one of our Blanket Bundle’s which includes: a pillowcase, blanket and beanie baby ensuring our children are warm throughout the winter month.

Please feel free to ship earlier than the deadline. 

We need 3,200 Back to School packs! You can buy them at the link below or make your own. Please include the following items in each gallon-sized Ziplock bag:

1-Glue Stick

1-Spiral or Composite Notebook

4-Pencils 

2-Ink Pens

1-Highlighter

1-Coloring Pencils 

1-24 Crayon Box

2-Cap Erasers

1-Large Pink Eraser

1-Pencil Sharpener

1-Ruler

1-Scissors 

For older students add following:

1-Calculator 

1-Graph paper

1-Index Cards

1-Memory Stick

2-Mechanical Pencil

Blessing Bags consist of items like an Easter Basket would have except no chocolate, because it can melt. Place everything in a gallon ziplock bag. Mark the bag with gender and appropriate age.

Items needed:

• Handmade Purses
• Hair bows
• Handmade clothing 
• Boys pants always needed
• Shoes for both boys & girls 

Be sure to mark the size on each garment you make. If making clothing packs place contents in gallon ziplock. Mark size & gender on outside with permanent marker.
